All You Need In Wood - About Us

Having been established for over twelve years, our small family run business specialises in providing  ideas and solutions to your woodworking needs at a cost effective price.
As a cabinetmaker/carpenter I enjoy working with wood and am therefore just as happy to design and make a full dining suite or kitchen as I am a window seat, a chopping board, or a run of skirting board to match the rest of your house. All items are crafted with the same attention to detail.
I was formally trained as a cabinetmaker and furniture designer at Rycotewood College, near Oxford recognised as one of the finest in Europe. My training enables me to offer ideas and solutions handmade in wood to the highest standards.
We respect our clients wishes and I work closely with you at every stage to ensure the finished woodwork is exactly as you want it. Working in traditional or contemporary styles, I will happily incorporate your ideas to arrive at the perfect design for your project. You are welcome to visit the workshop at any time to view progress, personally select  materials and discuss your work in detail.
All furniture and kitchens are solidly built using time honoured construction methods e.g. dovetail joints on all four corners of a drawer-box, mortise and tenons on frames etc.  I always prefer to use timbers from sustained sources such as native French Oak.  Finishes available range from a simple oil finish on the family table to a spray lacquered  finish (in-house) in the kitchen to withstand the rigors of a modern life. All furniture is installed by myself to ensure the highest possible standard.
At All You Need In Wood we are happy to design and make virtually anything in any wood and so the only limit is our collective imagination. If you have an idea then please put your questions to us as the answer will usually be yes.
